Unique, rare and oh-so-baroque. This attention-grabbing baroque pearl necklace is crafted from hand-selected premium peacock black baroque pearls. These large freshwater pearls were selected for their highly irregular shapes, high luster, smooth surfaces and rare surface orient. Their unique shapes are similar to baroque-shaped Tahitian pearls, and no two are exactly alike; each pearl is one of a kind. The pearls were treated to create stunning multicolored peacock colors that exhibit an intense rainbow of aubergine, green, blue and metallic copper-like tones (although they are often referred to as black pearls becuase of their dark colors, real pearls are never jet black). These exceptionally eye-catching pearls are very large for real cultured pearls; widths are 10-11mm and lengths range from 13mm to over 18mm. The pearls are hand knotted on black thread and finished with a handpolished premium 14 karat white gold clasp that has a beautiful matte stardust finish.
