This pair of HinsonGayle pearl stud earrings is fashioned from large black pearls mounted on sterling silver posts. The freshwater pearls are not jet black, but rather they are treated to create surfaces that emit various shades of rich color from aubergine to peacock green. The button-shaped pearls are matched to appear nearly perfectly round from the front but when viewed from their sides the pearls appear flatter and their shapes may vary. The black pearls have a mirror-like luster and smooth surface.
